COMING HOME

My first degree cousin, Baloy is coming home after 5 years and she's been very excited, she'll be bringing over her first born son, Mark, who is almost a year old. She's been asking me and her other friends what are the happening places (gimmick spots) we can take her too. I recommended a few bars that are popular right now with the "in" crowd.

"HALO" (hay-low)is medium size bar located at the heart of Amorsolo St. in Makati, drinks are a bit pricey but place is a bit classy and since Makati is now a no smoking district, inside this bar is a big room where smokers can go and do their thing.
There is a roomy dance floor where people can groove to the trance, r and b. hip-hop music the dj plays.

TEMPLE is located in Greenbelt, it's known for having a great crowd eventhough the place is a little small, in the middle of the bar, a Golden Buddha watches over the drunk, drugged and tireless beautiful people.

RAINY DAYS ARE HERE

On lethargic rainy mornings or afternoons, I would open all the windows and sit on my favorite chair by the windowsill and read a book until I fall asleep.

I can't help but appreciate the coming of the rainy season early this year because it has been a terrible summer and I cannot stand anymore the heat that is just driving everyone crazy. I know, I know, the traffic gets worse but don't you just love the cool breeze together with a misty drizzle as it gently hits your face? I do. :)

DRINK AND BE MERRY . . . .FOR TOMORROW WE DIE

For the past couple of weeks, I've been out with my Italian friend who used to be my boss who was visiting from New York, it's his first time in Manila, actually it's his first time to be outside the United States. He and my cousin have been best friends since they were in high school. Most of the time I was bar hopping with them. Mike drove and took me around the Big Apple when I visited last year since my cousin wasn't around and I was just returning the favor. It was kind of strange.. because last year, I was hanging out with him drinking at the East Village in New York, then a couple of days ago we were at Eastwood in Libis Quezon City. :)

I've been to a lot of bars, from the US to Singapore to Hongkong and of course, Manila and the night scene in Manila is the still the best by far. :) On my next entry I will post my recommended bars and restaurants I love going to. :)
