ALL HAIL BROKE LOOSE

After spending at least more than 24 hours inside a plane, and before my last plane ride to Denver, I also spent 5 hours towing my almost torn brand new luggage together with a horrible jet lag in the Salt Lake City Airport where the weather was still very cold, (there was still snow on the mountain caps.)

And we also had a little incident on the run way (paging air traffic controllers what were you guys thinking)before our plane could even take off our run way, he decided to make a sharp left turn because another plane was also headed our way from the opposite direction. Geez. Our pilot apologized for the incident and told everyone to calm down despite the unnerving situation we just experienced.

I also spent 12 hours in beautiful, beautiful San Francisco where the weather is sunny 24/7 and thanks to good ol' friend Brandie who took me in for the night. We talked till the wee hours of the morning over a cup of hot cocoa. (thanks buddy)

I was told by friends and relatives to wear summer clothes and probably bring a light jacket just for plane ride because it was suppose to be around the 90s to a 100F since it was already summer in the United Stated particularly in Denver. Riiight.

When I looked out my airplane window, the fog was soo thick it looked like Campbell's mushroom soup and when I stepped outside the plane, it was so damn cold, and a it started to drizzle and then all of a sudden, there was hail!

I was dozing off on a chair near baggage claim area because I just needed to sleep really badly.

I was already in lala land by the time we even left the aiport inside my Mom's car.

The Dangling Conversation by Simon & Garfunkle
It's a still life water color,
Of a now late afternoon,
As the sun shines through the curtained lace
And shadows wash the room.
And we sit and drink our coffee
Couched in our indifference,
Like shells upon the shore
You can hear the ocean roar
In the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs,
Are the borders of our lives.

And you read your Emily Dickinson,
And I my Robert Frost,
And we note our place with bookmarkers
That measure what we've lost.
Like a poem poorly written
We are verses out of rhythm,
Couplets out of rhyme,
In syncopated time
Lost in the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs,
Are the borders of our lives.

Yes, we speak of things that matter,
With words that must be said,
"Can analysis be worthwhile?"
"Is the theater really dead?"
And how the room is softly faded
And I only kiss your shadow,
I cannot feel your hand,
You're a stranger now unto me
Lost in the dangling conversation.
And the superficial sighs,
In the borders of our lives.

HECTIC THREE DAYS

In the midst of pouring rain and dark roads and almost zero visibility, I braved the outpour to dine with the Tans, (Tita Adjette Tan and Budjette) which I haven't done in a long time. I used to hang out at the Tan mansion when they still lived in La Vista, which was really close to home. Since they moved to Pasig,I hardly see Budj and Tita A.
And now with Budjette's workaholic behavior, having coffee or even chatting with him on the phone is like waiting for meteor to pass by the sky. (ha! The story of his life)

We had a sumptous dinner at Dencio's Rockwell and had dessert at CIBO, we were joined later by some members of the Alamat gang, namely Mark G. and Jojo who I haven't seen for quite awhile. I really had fun, I miss hanging out with them though sometimes Mark finds me annoying.

Thanks for everything :)

DIN DIN with the DENVER FOLKS

After Rockwell, I went out of town, hahaha! at 10:00PM last night and went to Harbor View in heart of Manila. It was raining cats and dogs, I had no idea how I was able to find the place despite the downpour.
